Finch asking Parakeet to feed?

Really weird. My cat brought in a little female finch, somehow her wing got messed up, not broken, but she can't fly right. She is one of our pets now. I have had her for quite a while now. Anyways, she got sort of lonely, so when I was at the pet store picking up some aquarium supplies, I stopped by the bird section and got a cute little parakeet. I don't know was the parakeet's gender is. Yesterday, the parakeet (Lollipop) was playing with its favorite toy, a little bell hanging on a string. It was sitting on a rope near the toy, as the finch was sitting on the perch next to the bell (which is right beside the side of the side) so the finch was taking up the only spot next to the bell. The finch doesn't play with the bell toy, so I was wondering why she was sitting there. Lollipop (parakeet) wanted to get the finch's spot and (was sitting on a rope) started to move over so it could get next the finch. Well, when Lollipop started to move over (walking on the rope sideways) the finch stuck her neck out, opened her mouth and squawked like she was a little baby wanting to be feed by its mother! The finch did this several times, each time the parakeet came over. I know parakeets feed each other and groom each other (Lollipop has groomed the finch before) but I didn’t know why the finch did that, can anyone explain?

I don't think it is ambidextrous, i know many people who, for example, are right handed and shoot left handed. simply because it feels more natural to them. as for in the legs people often show a far lesser degree of dominance in there legs simply because they are used for less exact movements. I'm truly sorry for the pain and abandonment that you are feeling, but with the proper therapy and medication, most of these negatives can be overcome.My best friend suffers from bi-polar disorder and is able to live a largely normal life.She takes anti-depressants and regualrly goes to her doctor for counselling sessions.She does experience difficult periods though, for some reason its more prevalent during the changes of the seasons. Alot of the mental disorders are a chemical imbalance in the brain due to low levels of the hormone seratonin in the brain, its responsible for one's feeling of well-being..My daughter has had mental health issues for several years now and was on meds to treat it. Her frame of mind has improved to the extent, that she has been able to wean herself off of them.It may not be a permanent fix though, and we recognize that she may need to take them again some day.With most mental health issues it comes down to an ongoing maintainance combination of counselling and meds. Please don't lose hope til you've looked into these suggestions, as well as conatcted a mental health agency in your area. They will try to ist you and also help you to realize you are not alone with these problems and also point you in the direction so that you may find help and improvement.Good luck!

Oh I am a huge Gator Nation Fan, was really upset that Urban left but he is a very dedicated family man and as he said in his interviews he was tired of missing his kids games and not being a part of their life while he still had time. I think Urban will enjoy his family and get recharged, then in a few years he will probably go back to Florida as athletic director or something. You are right, Tim and Urban and a very special relationship and I loved seeing them together but I don't think Urban would quit FL to take the Denver position. At school I am constantly getting mad fun of for my music tastes. I'm getting made fun of because no one knows the bands (except the Beatles). People instantly judge my bands. I tell them that I like music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. They go, "EWWW! They are OLD!" When I asked them what music they liked, they started listing all these rappers and hip hop bands. I overheard a conversation where a girl said, "Wow, that song's 5 months old! It's ANCIENT!!" They listen to month old songs that eventually disappear and I listen to music that is about 40 years old that still plays on the radio. The music my friends listen obviously talk about drugs, and violence. At least some of my music actually hides it rather than it being obvious. I keep on asking them, "What's wrong with old music?"

The tip of your big toe should be touching the front of the boot. because one the boot compacts down thew will get a bit larger. also it helps keep your feet warm if your foot has to generate all the heat for the air surrounding the foot then thats a lot of air. I worked for about a decade in South Central LA some time after the Watts Riot. The irony is that many of the blacks left their neighborhoods "for a better one", only to form a new ghetto on the west side, even more dangerous than the original. The problem is as old as mankind--when youths face a seemingly hopeless future, they join gangs. Once gangs are established (there were hundreds in South Central LA--mostly variations of the Bloods and Crips), it becomes dangerous not to join. Then everybody rips everybody off, including ripping off the government and those that would try to help them. Occasionally the youths wise up and listen to Martin Luther King, Malcom X, even Bill Cosby, but unfortunately too many more callow youths are born and take their place. If I had dictatorial powers, I'd disperse and ter ghetto youths all over the place, and destroy the old neighborhoods, because it's the old gang culture--like mold---that keeps perpetuating the problem. Practically speaking, all we really can do is to keep up the education and treat such ghettos as in need of reconstruction.

It's possible and that's the way it was with my brother and I. We KNEW that if we even got close to those ornaments what would happen. I think if the children are taught right they'll know their boundaries. Accidents do happen, even with adults, but for the most part it's easy to keep ornaments intact if the kids are taught early on what they can and can't do. After my hand got popped once I knew never to do something again. My mom still has ornaments from the 80's with me and my brother's names and year on them lol.

Ziva David from NCIS or SVU's Olivia Benson?

Who do you like better as far as fighting and combat capability goes. In anything that has to do with field work especially combat fighting and killing the bad guys, I'd pick Ziva David. She is much better suited for this sort of job physically and emotionally. SVU's Benson on the other hand would do better at jobs where she could serve as a counselor, and not in the field directly dealing with criminals since she is too physically and emotionally weak to be considered a police officer. She can investigate things, but she won't do very well against a criminal unless he is physically weak and untrained. Ziva is better at anything that has to do with seeking out criminals, and engaging them in combat, and comes out the winner most of the time. Be it with guns, knives, or hand to hand, Ziva does very well at it. Both are good at different jobs, so for field work where direct physical contact is likely, I'd pick Ziva, and when the area is one hundred percent safe and secure, then Benson can come in and use her compion to deal with victims. Will my kitten be ok?

I got two new kittens a week ago today, they are 7 weeks old. The female kitten is doing very well, she is 1 3/4 pounds and a happy healthy kitten. But my male kitten is not doing so well. He started off being the more timid one and he was a little smaller than her, also he was not as playful as his sister is, but he would play around with her. Now, he has become lethargic, sleeps all the time, stopped playing, and he stopped eating. The pet shop owner gave them their first shots and deworming medication, but my male recently threw up and there was a worm in his vomit. I took him to the vet this morning and he received a subcutaneous injection to help perk him up, a/d cat food, more deworming medication and a honey-like syrup that should strengthen his appetite. He weighs only 1 pound, is dehydrated, and emaciated. So far in the last 24 hours all he would ingest is replacement milk, but I'm concerned he might not eat willfully. Canon 60D or Nikon D7000 im going crazy!!! which to get?

So I like the 60D but everyone seems to also like the D7000. Ill be honest with you, I prefer the Canon's menu layout and on layout and its not all messy like the Nikons. People do say the Nikon gives better quality photos but by how much? Is it really noticable? It is more expensive but I feel like Nikon lenses are less expensive so I will save there (correct me if im wrong) and they have tons of more lenses. It is also a magnesium alloy body, ow important is that? And do you really need a 100% viewfinder? It's a good start, but you need to actually describe things. It's a long essay, so I'll just talk about the first paragraph. In the sentence starting "I remember everything about that street..." you should describe the smells and the sounds. Say something like, "In just thinking about it, I can smell that freshly cut gr and hear the neighborhood kids playing tag. I hear Mr. Robinson yelling at the kids, telling them to get off his lawn." Stuff like that, that's the stuff that people remember about the street they grew up on. Add details.

I got subpoenad to testify against my ex husband from years and years ago, he was a walking nightmare, the first time he hit one of my kids I left him unfortunately he did bodily injury to my son and I was able to get a felony child abuse arrest for him and he later plead guilty to a lesser charge allowing him to serve a 5 year deferred sentence and it was expunged off his record. Now he is at it again with another woman's children and the father has launched a custody battle against her and my ex husband; according to the father's lawyer since the charge was expunged they can't bring it up in this custody case without having me on the stand. This guy scares me to death, I don't want any part of this and don't understand why they need me if he is abusing a child? Is there any way I can get out of this, I sincerely fear for my life and the life of my children if I testify against him and I have expressed that but they don't seem to care. I spoke with a judge who has dealt with my ex husband and he told me to get home security, he will rewrite the protective order and in his professional opinion at all costs try to get out of this, he said he always felt uneasy around my ex and is surprised he hasn't made headlines yet. Stick with it and be patient, keep trying to potty train her. every time she eats put her outside and get her use to going potty right away. when you get up in the morning put her outside right away, when you go to bed put her outside to go potty. you need to do this all the time so she will get in the habit of going, when you tell her to. keep an eye on her because she will let you know in her own way, she might sniff by the door, or bark at you to say " I have to go potty". Thanksgiving woes, again!?

last year my mom about had a conniption fit because i decided to do thanksgiving only with his mother last year. i had went every year that my mom had had me (i was adopted at 5). we had been able to go to both until last year because my moms was 2 hours away from where i lived. (my husband and i were dating at the time). she literally griped me out because i decided to only go to his moms house. well i am confused about what to do this year even though i told her we would be coming to her thanksgiving first because it is like she has been ignoring me. i have called her 3 or 4 different times and left her messages on her answering machine or have called and gotten a hold of her in the 6 months my husband and i have been married. everytime i have gotten the answering machine she never called me back right away. it took her two or three weeks. even when i do get ahold of her it takes her two to three weeks to call me back. then i get frustrated because she will always say you didn't call. i am tired of being the one always having to call her though. it almost makes me think she sees my name on the caller ID and won't answer. she has told me lots of times too that she don't call me back because she knows i like to talk on the phone for a long time. i feel like i am being ignored and don't even really want to go see her anymore, not even on the holidays because of her never calling or asking to get together except on holidays. what would you do in this situation? i feel she don't call me much or ask me to do much either because my husband has be defend myself because she is always trying to control everything i do and then we get into huge fights when i tell her i don't want to do what she has suggested. she has even told me that she feels she is more apt to be right about stuff because of her age. i have cried like 5 times since my husband and i have been togeter because of her starting fights with me when i won't do her suggestions. she says that whenever i have an opinion it's my husbands fault i don't listen to her. that makes me mad because i can think for myself. what would you do in this situation?
